Logging in and initial setup
How to log in to ERPNext and what to do right after login (navigate to the home screen and change your password).

What you'll learn
The first three steps when starting with ERPNext (log in → check the home screen → change password) summarized in one place.
- How to log in from the invitation email or a URL
- Where the home screen lives right after login
- Password change and initial settings to take care of on the first day
How to log in
To log in to ERPNext, open the link in the invitation email from your administrator, or go directly to the ERPNext URL in your browser.
Step 1: Open the login screen
Enter the ERPNext URL (e.g. https://your-site.erpnext.jp) into the browser's address bar. A login screen labeled "Login to Frappe" appears.

Step 2: Enter your email and password
- Email: enter your registered email
- Password: enter your set password
Click "Log in".
Tip: With "Log in via email link", you can sign in via email-based authentication without a password.
Step 3: Verify the home screen
On successful login, you land on the Home (/app/home) — the common entry point for everyone. Shortcuts to key business hubs are arranged: Sales progress board, Purchase hub, Work-order workbench, Accounting workbench and more.

Next: How to use the home screen is covered in detail at Home screen and business hubs.

- Choose "Settings"
- Enter the new password under "Change password"
- Click "Save"
